Bear-ish Birthday Wishes: The Birthday Project

Welcome! Today I'm playing along with the My Favorite Things Stamps Birthday Project Challenge. This week's Birthday Project Challenge involves using bears on the birthday card. I chose the Birthday Bears set; it's an older set, but I've always loved the way the little bear is looking so expectant toward the big bear--kind of a tender moment there!

Shown above are the Copic marker that I used to color the bears and to airbrush the background.

Hey, Gillfriend: MFTWSC390

Welcome! Today I'm playing along with the My Favorite Things Stamps WSC390 Sketch Challenge. I chose the Gill Friends stamp set to play with since I'd colored several fish during the release a couple of weeks ago!  The background in the squares is airbrushed with Copic BG13 nearer the top, and B05 nearer the bottom. After airbrushing, I stamped the Whimsical Waves background with Summer Splash Dye Ink.

I had posted these colors earlier, but I'm sharing them here again today so you know exactly which Copic markers I used on which fish. 

Finally, how about an alternative? I had a scrap of my airbrushed and stamped water that I had used behind the fish, so I thought I would try it as a bottom border on my card. Usually I know right away which option I like if I'm looking at options, but this time I couldn't decide. So I thought I'd share this one too just in case you like it better. :-)

Gill Friends: Just Add Color

Welcome! Today I'm playing along in the My Favorite Things Stamps Just Add Color challenge. I colored several of the fish from the Birdie Brown Gill Friends stamp set so that I owl have them to showcase on future cards. I used three of them on this card, but I haven't used the others yet.

Toucan Do It: MFT June Release

Welcome! It's June Release Night for My Favorite Things Stamps! All of the new products that you've been seeing online for the past few days are now available. I saved my Toucan Do It card to share tonight because this was such a happy set.

I airbrushed the background with Copic BG01 and G14, then both stamped and layered die-cut leaves from the Toucan Do It set to make a little jungle window.

Hello, Sunshine: MFT Release Countdown Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the My Favorite Things Stamps June Release Countdown! I chose the Pure Innocence Beach Cuties stamp set because I wanted to color her. :-) I enjoyed airbrushing a sunset in the background with my Copic markers too!

For the waves,  I used  Glossy White Nuvo Crystal drops and then sprinkled microfine glitter onto the glossy white waves while they were still wet.

Birthday Fishes Shaker Card: MFT Release Countdown Day 4

Welcome to day four of the My Favorite Things Stamps June Release Countdown! I chose the new Aquarium Die-namics and the Gill Friends stamp set. I love how simple it is to create a shaker card with the Large Rectangle Shaker Pouch! I mounted the fish on the outside of the aquarium so that my shaker material inside could move freely.

For my Copic friends, I will have a Just Add Color post on Wednesday evening, June 6 at 9pm Eastern time with all of the colors for these "gill friends" and several more. Thanks for your patience!
