Welcome! Today I'm playing along with a My Favorite Things Stamps Sketch Challenge, WSC443. I pulled out stamps and dies from a previous month's kit release, the Flower Silhouettes Stamp Set and Die-namics, along with several of my MFT ink cubes. I used Broken China Distress Oxide ink to add a hint of sky in the background.

Welcome! It's release day for the My Favorite Things Stamps Flowers in Bloom Card Kit today, and I have a very different card to share today than the ones I shared yesterday. I had used the MFT Colorburst watercolors on yesterday's cards and loved playing with those, but I wanted to try a totally different look today using the same stamps and dies. I colored the images with my Copics on kraft cardstock (all listed below), and then I added details and highlights with three Prismacolor pencils (also listed below.)
Shown above are the Copic Sketch markers and the Prismacolor pencils that I used on the Flowers in Bloom image. Again, the image is stamped on MFT's Kraft cardstock using the kraft hybrid ink.

Welcome! I have a couple of cards to share using the new My Favorite Things Stamps Flower in Bloom Card Kit which will be available on Tuesday, June 25. I loved playing with this kit! For today's cards, I've departed from my usual Copic-colored images because this kit comes with three colors of Ken Oliver Color Burst powdered watercolors in exclusive MFT colors. Of course I had to play with those! On the card above, I used the Tropical Teal and Jellybean Green colors on my background. (Actually, I had a couple of spots of Coral Crush as well, but they both ended up covered by the floral images or sentiment.) For the blossoms, I used mostly Coral Crush, but I added a touch of both a dark crimson and a purple that were not part of the kit--Colorburst colors that I had previously purchased. The flowers are heat embossed with Versamark inks and detail black embossing powder.
For my second card, I used gold embossing powder because I've seen so many cards that I have loved lately using gold EP. Honestly, I liked the black EP better, but that's just a matter of personal preference. I didn't die-cut the flowers on this one, but experimented with one layer, masking the flowers with a scrap of die-cut while I played with the background Besides the MFT Tropical Teal Colorburst, I also used a deep blue Colorburst that was not part of the kit. While I was happy with the background in this one, the more I look at it, I think that the flowers should probably have been deeper colored. Between the gold embossing powder and the lighter coral colors of the flowers, my background might overpower the flowers. . . It's all an experiment, right?

Welcome! Today I'm playing along with a My Favorite Things Stamps Sketch Challenge, WSC442. I took some liberties with this one--turning it upside down and leaving off one horizontal strip shape.
I knew that I wanted a clean black and white background, with only one of the poppies on the Poppies Background colored. Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color that poppy.

Welcome! I've got a couple of super cute projects to share with you today from the June 2019 Club La-La Land Crafts Kit. It's time to get your FIESTA on with Marci and her three chihuahua companions!
Here's a picture of the full kit and my first two cards. Sign Up for theJune 2019 Kitshown above will go through June 19.
First up is Fiesta Marci in her party dress, complete with sequins. After all, a girl needs some bling! I used digital papers from the Cashmere Dame paper pack by Glitz Designs (from Snap Click Supply HERE), printed out at 6" x 6" to get a small pattern. If you already have some pretty floral papers or fiesta-themed papers on hand, use them! Just coordinate your markers to your paper, and you'll be fine.
Shown above are the Copic Sketch markers that I used to color Fiesta Marci. I have also written a stepped out PDF tutorial for this particular card. If you are a club subscriber, you will be sent a link to several tutorials using the June Card Kit.
I adore this little chihuahua image and had a great time coloring the chihuahuas! While I generally like medium to large dogs, I make an exception for chihuahus and miniature dobermans--mostly because they don't know that they are little dogs. They still have the bark and the attitude of a big dog! And really, who could resist that face?? My best tip on coloring the chihuahuas: do an image search for them--the vary so much in both color and pattern that it's hard to go wrong. I also loved that you can use the lime and pepper dies that are letters in the Fiesta Word die to add details to the Taco and Guacamole images. (I'll have a card using the Guacamole image up on July 9.)
Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color the Let's Taco 'Bout It card. I used the Just for You Background set to stamp the gingham background in kraft ink onto kraft cardstock.
Finally, here's a short video sharing some tips and details on the cards, as well as explaining how the kit subscription works. If you have a problem with the embedded video, HERE's a link.
You can find out more about the June 2019 Club La-La Land Kit HERE. Fair warning--the kit is on a subscription basis, and it's available for a very limited time--through June 19. Occasionally kit images may rotate into the regular LLLC stamp line six months to a year later, according to the website. But if you think you love it, that date is June 19. Again, I will have another June kit post on July 9 for some additional kit ideas.

Welcome! Today I'm playing along with a My Favorite Things Stamps Sketch Challenge, WSC441. Given the predominant square shape on the sketch, the first set that came to mind was Picture Perfect, released a couple of months ago. I loved the whimsy of this set but had used it for only one card; so I chose a different image from the set and played with it again. For the background, I stamped paw prints from an older set, You Make My Tail Wag.
Shown above are the Copic Sketch markers that I used to color the Picture Perfect image. (I love this image! I would have been the annoying cat, no doubt. . .)

Welcome! Today I'm playing along with a My Favorite Things Stamps Sketch Challenge, WSC440. I still had my Tropical Flowers set out on my desk, and I decided that it would be perfect for the three round focal points in the sketch. I did just a tiny bit of airbrushing on the base layer to have a little more color peeping out behind the flowers, but it's mostly just plain stamping--easy-peasy.

Welcome! It's June Release Day for My Favorite Things Stamps, and I have one more new release card to share today, using the Fairy Good Friends stamp set and the Slider Surprise Die-namics. Stephanie Klauck made a video showing exactly how to use the Slider Surprise Die-namics. (Trust me, if I can understand it, YOU can too; I'm motion-card-challenged!)
Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color the Fairy Good Friends images. I used sponged Distress Inks to create the clouds and the grass (Broken China and Mowed Lawn).
All of the new June products are now available, and the links below should all work. Each of the MFT Design Team members AND some amazing guests will have projects to share today, so please check out the MFT Stamps Blog for many more cool projects and products, as well as a chance to win fabulous prizes.Good luck on the giveaway, and thank you for visiting,
Welcome to Day 1 of the My Favorite Things Stamps June Release Countdown! Today I'm sharing a simple card using this month's FREE with purchases over $75 set, Sea Life. I was going for a fun card for a young boy and thought that simple stamping would be my best choice. (The sentiment is from the Fish You Were Here set--Sea Life has plenty of sea life images, but no sentiments.) I used a mini stapler to attach some colorful banners, thinking that he would probably like that better than a bow. 😉
While I have linked the MFT products that I used below, the links to the NEW product links will not be live links until release day, 10am Eastern Time, Tuesday, June 4. All of the other links should work now. Welcome to Day 2 of the My Favorite Things Stamps June Release Countdown! At 10am Eastern time on Tuesday, June 4, the June release will be live, and all of the new products shown in the past few days will be available. Today I chose the Tropical Flowers stamp set and die-namics to feature. It's all just plain stamping, but with a lot of ink colors! I did airbrush the background with two Copics--BG23 and G43--but all of the rest of stamped with the inks shown in the supply list below. I also used my fine point glue to add glitter to many of the flower centers after I had the pieces all put together. I used my MISTI to stamp all of the flowers so that I could stamp twice in the same place and get good, solid ink coverage.
In addition to the ones that I've shared here, there are more fabulous new products being showcased today; I hope you get a chance to visit the MFT Stamps Blog for a complete list of designers playing along with today's new products AND to enter for prizes! Remember that while all MFT products that I used are linked below, the NEW product links won't be live until release time--that's Tuesday morning (June 4) at 10am Eastern time. All other links should work now. Welcome to Countdown Day 3 of the My Favorite Things Stamps June Release countdown! Today I chose the Pure Innocence Hey, Sunshine stamp set to feature. I'm pretty sure I'd get nothing done all Summer if I had a pool, so it's a good thing I don't! (Besides, we usually have only about two weeks that would qualify to most of you as "Summer" here in the U.P. of Michigan anyway. . .)
Shown above are the Copic markers that I used to color the Hey, Sunshine image. For the background, I lightly airbrushed Copic BG23 over most of my card front, , saving the lower right corner for E33--sand. Next I used my fine tip glue applicator to add foam at the edge of the water using glitter. After the glitter and glue were dry, I used a white gel pen to add more foaminess since the glitter foam was hard to see. Her swimsuit is paper-pieced, but still shaded with a couple of Cool Gray Copics so as not to be flat.
