Hello, BOO-tiful: MFT Color Challenge #126

Welcome! Today I am participating in My Favorite Things Stamps Color Challenge #126. When I saw the challenge colors for this week, I immediately thought of Halloween and decided to play with the Fab-BOO-lous Friends stamps set, picking images that I could color in the challenge colors. (I did add a hint of background color just to make my images stand out a bit, but I mostly followed the challenge!)

Bloom and Be Happy: September MFT Vault Release

Welcome! Today I have another My Favorite Things Stamps September Vault Release to share with you--this one a darling little Birdie Brown set, Sunflower Sweetheart. This cutie has always reminded me of Charlie Brown's friend Peppermint Patty. I love all of the little pieces that you can layer for different looks!

Shown above are the Copic Sketch marker colors that I used on the BB Sunflower Sweetheart images. (You can click on the image for a larger version to save if you wish.) I used a BG000 marker and Colorless blender to add some subtle sky to the background.

Perk Up Soon: September MFT Vault Release

Welcome! I was pretty excited last month to find out that some of the My Favorite Things Stamps all-time favorite sets are coming around again! I remember purchasing the a la mode Miss You a Latte stamp set and Die-namics the first time around, and I still love this one. I went for a Get Well card here--I've needed too many of those lately.

Thank You Floral: MFT WSC455

Welcome! Today I played along with the My Favorite Things Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge, WSC455. I loved the Floral Focus stamp set and Die-namics, so I chose that to go behind my four sentiments from the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude stamp set. 

I watercolored the Floral Focus images after stamping them with Versamark ink and heat embossing with detail white embossing powder. Next I simply stamped the sentiments with Grape Jelly ink and die-cut then with the Skinny Strips Die-namics.

Blessing to Me: MFT WSC453

Welcome! Today I'm playing along with a My Favorite Things Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge, WSC453. I loved the Stacey Yacula Piles of Fun stamp set that was released just yesterday, but I hadn't had time to use it until a couple of days ago. A card sketch challenge seemed like as good a reason as any to pull that set out and use it!

A Warm Birthday: September MFT and Friends

Welcome! It's September Release Day for My Favorite Things Stamps, and I have one more new release card to share today, using the Sweater Weather on Safari stamp set and coordinating Die-namics set. I loved both Sweater Weather sets, and I hadn't used this one  earlier this release week.

Coffee Helps: One Day Until the MFT Release!

Welcome to Day 1 of the My Favorite Things Stamps September Release Countdown--tomorrow is the big day! Today I'm sharing a card using the Brush Spatter Background, along with the Cafe All Day Die-namics, the Cup of Love Sentiment set, and the outline owl and solid coffee bean stamps from the Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set.

When I saw the little owl with outstretched wings in the Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set, it reminded me of the Starbucks Logo lady. So I stamped him in Field Day ink, and then colored him with my G20, G24, and G28 Copic Sketch markers. I also used a couple of Copics to shade the kraft cup cozy (E41, E44, 0), and the white cup (C0, C1, C3).

Best Teacher: Two Days Until the MFT Release!

Welcome! It's two days until the My Favorite Things Stamps September Release! At 10am Eastern time on Tuesday, September 3, the September release will be live, and all of the new products shown in the past few days will be available. Today I chose to create with the teacher and apple from the Lessons in Love stamp set, combined with a sentiment and ruler from the Favorite Teacher stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. I used the pencil image to stamp a background panel, and then I added highlights to the pencils with my white Prismacolor pencil.
