Welcome to the fourth Design-abilities Blog Hop! The Spellbinders® Blog Team has a blog hop on the sixteenth of every other month. This blog hop is just for creative inspiration; we are not sponsored by Spellbinders Paper Arts®. Sometimes we are not all be able to participate, but we would still encourage you to visit all of the Blog Team Members and check out their blogs. You will find a variety of ideas for die cutting, papercrafting, mixed media, DIY projects, jewelry, home decor, and lots of tutorials and techniques.
My project for today is double-duty. . . of necessity. :-} I got home from my Chicago Copic Certification classes Sunday [waving to my friends!] and still needed to get together a project for our MOPS moms for today. I initially meant to have them make an Easter card today, but then I decided that it would be better if I could give them a choice of what kind of card to make. That meant that I needed a fairly clean and simple design that would work for Easter, birthday, or friendship/encouragement. After looking through my stamp collection, I found that my Spellbinders A-2 Curved Matting Basics A and A-2 Scalloped Borders 1 would work with each of the stamp sets that I had chosen.
I dug through my paper stash, and I found almost a full pad of Papertrey Ink Egg Hunt 8" x 8" paper--bingo! Enough for my MOPS cards! I also used a couple of sheets from the 2008 Bitty Dot Basics pad for a contrasting trim. The stamp set used above is Polka Dot Parade #1. I added some Flower Soft to the bunny's tail for fluffiness.
I chose Sentiment Signs for the second card option, thinking that any of its sentiments would work.
For the third option, I chose the Stylish Sentiments Birthday stamp set. With those three options, I think my bases are pretty well covered, and my Spellbinders A-2 Curved Matting Basics A and A-2 Scalloped Borders 1 worked perfectly with all of them. :-)
Here are my twenty-one projects--hope they have fun!
I'd love it if you had time to visit my blog team friends as well, though not everyone is able to participate this month. Thank you for visiting today!
