I'll have a couple of posts today--trying to get everything lined up early since we are expecting a LOT of snow, meaning that I'll probably lose my internet. . .  So how about a thank you card to start with? Several weeks ago, a friend lent me some GraphIt ß Markers to try, and I colored this Altenew Handpicked Bouquet image with them. (I'll have a little more to share about my conclusions on the markers on another day, along with a color chart.) United We Flourish: You Are Pawsome!

Welcome! Today several designers from the My Favorite Things Stamps team are showcasing a special stamp set, Good Friends, in conjunction with Ellen Hutson's United We Flourish campaign. Good Friends is a limited time set, available only through Ellen Hutson.

I colored my Good Friends images with Copic markers: Warm grays for the kitty, and E11/E13/15/E19 for the dog. I airbrushed my background, leaving my rounded rectangles die in place to mask the edges. Papers are from MFT's Fun and Frolic 6 x 6 paper pad.

Creating Nature Textures with Copic Tutorial

Good morning! I have a guest tutorial posted on the CLASSroom blog today for creating three textures with Copic markers. The first is a really quick and easy one, polished marble. The other two are a little more challenging--not so much hard as time consuming: detail of a wooden fencepost, and a rock retaining wall. Also included in the post toward the bottom are printable for my photo references, two pieces of line art, and a chart for you to fill in with textures if you'd like.
